Raw Card Condition & Grading Standards
Official marketplace condition hierarchy for ungraded raw cards (Near Mint to Damaged)
Near Mint
Minimal to no wear. Clean sharp corners, crisp edges, unclouded surface gloss.
Lightly Played
Minor edge whitening, tiny corner nick, or faint hairline scuffs. Tournament legal.
Moderately Played
Noticeable whitening on multiple borders, corner wear, or light surface clouding.
Heavily Played
Major whitening, surface indentations, or dirty borders, but structurally intact.
Damaged
Structural creasing, liquid damage, tears, paper separation, or markings.
All prices on TCG Directory reflect verified transactions for raw (ungraded) cards from the TCGplayer Marketplace, with Near Mint (NM) as the primary market benchmark.
