Official Turn Sequence & Timing Windows

Tournament rules mandate a strict chronological phase pipeline. Each phase governs legal play windows, priority passes, and triggered effects.

Phase Name Permitted Actions Timing Constraints & Rules
1. Refresh Phase Active Reset
Set all rested cards (Characters, Leader, and DON!!) to Active position. Return attached DON!! to cost area. Mandatory phase at the beginning of every turn.
2. Draw Phase Draw 1
Draw 1 card from your 50-card Main Deck. Player going first skips draw on Turn 1.
3. DON!! Phase Resource
Place 2 DON!! cards from your DON!! deck face up into your cost area (maximum 10 DON!! total). Only 1 DON!! is placed on Turn 1 of the player going first.
4. Main Phase Combat & Play
Rest DON!! to summon Characters/Events/Stages. Attach active DON!! (+1000 Power each). Declare attacks against rested Characters or Leader. Attacking triggers Blocker Step and Counter Step for defender.

Live Matchplay Walkthrough & Damage Math

Board State Setup

You have 4 active DON!! in your cost area. Your Leader is Luffy (5000 Power). Opponent's Leader has 1 Life card remaining.

1

DON!! Allocation: Attach 2 active DON!! cards to your Leader (+1000 power each). Luffy's Power increases to 7000.

2

Attack Declaration: Rest your Leader to declare an attack targeting opponent's Leader (7000 Power vs 5000 Power).

3

Blocker Step: Opponent chooses whether to rest a Character with the [Blocker] keyword to redirect the attack. They decline.

4

Counter Step: Opponent has the opportunity to discard Counter cards from hand to boost their Leader's defense. They discard one card with "+1000 Counter" (totaling 6000 Power).

5

Damage Resolution: Since your 7000 Power exceeds their 6000 Power, your attack connects! Opponent takes 1 damage and adds their final Life card to hand.

6

Opponent now sits at 0 Life cards. A subsequent successful attack will win you the match!
